of egms: votes, quorums and absentees in common (not!)

I am in the office while the BC's EGM is taking place since there's no one else around.
Ours is a small firm (of three people) so I've no choice but to absent myself from the EGM.
But don't discount my not attending as me being irresponsible member of the Bar.

Eh I keep tabs on the Bar Council Web ok. So far,as at 6, the house voted in favour of the amended motion. 323 voted for it and 51 against. Final count on number of members who signed up is 807.

I came across this comment by (none other but) Nik Elin:

Since there are only pretty girls attending this EGM, I am not going. If you put up pictures of handsome lang chai's I'd probably be there to make up the quorum.

No my attendance all this while is obviously not because of any handsome lang chai (don't know any good looking lawyers. Though I know the doctor bunch has a lot of stock).

Enough already.

On the other hand, I am glad the subscription issue is resolved finally.
To tell you the truth I'm not too Ok about freezing increment and bonuses to the Bar Council's staff. They really worked hard.
But since I didn't attend the EGM I cannot say this and that so much...
